December 8th at the Angel City Brewery in downtown Los Angeles, FORT brings together 10 of the best local artists to build unique interactive playgrounds all over again. This massive art party, held during December’s DTLA Art Walk, will feature food, live music, giveaways, interactive art, craft beers, vendors, the ultimate interactive pillow playground, where attendees will be able to create their own forts and all the fun we can cram into this 25,000 foot warehouse.

Featuring a special DJ set by GOJ!RA, one half of DJ Duo Market Price which blew up the music blogs earlier this September with Mark the Throne, a concept album completely remixing the most recent works of Jay-Z and Kanye. GOJ!RA spins all over LA and has performed alongside such artists as Childish Gambino, Major Lazer, Ying Yang Twins, Dillon Frances, Wale, and many more.

And the bestest, bestest part is this: WE’VE PARTNERED WITH SCHOOLS ON WHEELS in order to generate support for the next generation of Fort makers.

School on Wheels’ mission is to enhance educational opportunities for homeless children from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Take getting to be a kid again to the next level by digging up some childhood school supplies and donating to this great cause. We highly encourage bringing anything on their wish list, plus portion of our proceeds will also be donated to this important cause.

As you might have noticed, we do a lot of stuff. A lot. We bring locals together through boundary-pushing arts events and highly collaborative, ensemble-driven productions. We fill our audiences and our casts with people who are not interested solely in performing or solely in watching, but rather in sharing the experience of art with one another. School On Wheels
School on Wheels, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1993 by Agnes Stevens, a retired teacher. After reading Jonathan Kozol’s Rachel and her Children, Agnes realized the extent of homelessness in the USA. She began tutoring homeless kids in a park in Santa Monica, encouraging them to stay in school and participate in school activities.
Today, hundreds of volunteers work one-on-one with children whose homelessness prevents them from getting the academic stability and help they desperately need. The heart of the School on Wheels’ programs is the volunteer tutors who come from all backgrounds and professions, with a shared goal – to reach out to a child, to teach, to mentor, and assist in their educational life.
The mission of School on Wheels is to enhance educational opportunities for homeless children from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our goal is to shrink the gaps in their education and provide them with the highest level of education possible. Our program serves as a consistent support system to homeless students at a time of great stress and fear. We bring the message to our students that they are cared about and important.

GOJ!RA is the alter-ego of Chad Kenney, a 22 year-old DJ who has had a hand in some of the most original projects in Los Angeles dance music. In January 2011 GOJ!RA assisted partners and friends FunktheFresh & Cosmic Dan (of the Cosmic Kids) in creating the weekly Los Angeles event Controversy! at The Standard Purple Lounge in Hollywood. The party received tremendous response and commercial success and GOJ!RA served as the resident DJ for 9 months. His next project was with producer Valentino Khan in forming the EDM duo Market Price. Market Price catapulted to success within a few months, carving a serious niche in the moombahton scene and gaining support from artists such as Diplo, Steve Aoki, David Heartbreak, Will Bailey & Torro Torro to name a few. He now has his sights set on his next project: bringing you some of the best original production in the game with that same energy you'll find in a GOJ!RA set.

In his 5 years of work he has performed alongside such artists as Dillon Francis, Santiago & Bushido, Blackalicious, Wale, The Brazilian Girls, DJ Felli Fel, Super Mash Bros, ///BONES, Dev & The Cataracts, The Far East Movement, the Ying Yang Twins, Travie McCoy and most recently, Childish Gambino & Major Lazer

More members in the Call Center and Customer Service departments will be welcome to customers, especially during the upcoming busy Christmas season.
